Starting something new........

I'm laying on my back amidst my red down comforter with eminem barely audible in the backround while watching my fan go around in countless circles. It's around my typical bed time of the wee hours of the morning and I figured what better time then now to start informing everyone as to my whereabouts and what to expect in the upcoming months.

Most of you probably know that I've put a new band together and you also know that I've leaked very little out about it. (unless you are a fly on the wall)...which there are a few. ;)

Since I moved from Maryland to California, it's been a hell of a time adapting to not having parking, paying for rehearsals, and a lot of fake people. But amongst these instances have been quite a few positive situations that I've found myself involved in. This new band being one of them. I met up Derik, our guitarist, shortly after I moved here through a friend that ended up moving back home...(which many people out here do). We wrote a bunch of songs together and linked up with Ricky, our drummer, through a producer friend, shortly there-after. We've collaborated for the last 6 months and popped into one of our friend's studio where we started pre-production for an upcoming EP.

Recently, we've completed the first batch of songs and have been listening to them for the last 2 weeks to see if we want to change anything. I'm such a picky fucker but I must say, I'm pretty satisfied. I think whenever you put something new out, there is the calm before the storm where the excitement and uncertainty of the response is quite a rush and lives inside you. Maybe that's why I stay awake so damn late everynight. Regardless, I'm going to be updating my music page and putting our new single up October 1st. Hell, we might as well release the band name then too.

A lot of people have dropped their opinions on my life since I left everything I knew to seek something more. Everyone has something to say. But you know what....I like that everyone has strong opinions in life and that people like to love and hate...Good or bad, most importantly, I'm glad that everyone's talking.....about me.
